چکیده

Background: Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is the most frequent pulmonary manifestation of scleroderma and seen in 80% patients with diffuse 20% limited forms scleroderma. 1 Even early stages varying degrees severity, it does not correlate clinical manifestations. 2 Hence, difficult to select for ILD screening based on symptoms. Digital clubbing a common feature has been associated poor prognosis. 3 Objectives: To assess ultrasound measured nail bed thickness (NBT) cases as marker detect its inter-digital variation. Methods: A prospective observational study involving 15 each ILD, without controls visiting our clinic from August 2020 December were included. The presence was confirmed by HRCT thorax. Patients history smoking, alcohol intake or pre-existing cardio-respiratory illnesses excluded. Ultrasound assessed NBT calculated using Philips affiniti 70 eL18-4 probe. total 436 beds recorded (142 144 150 control group). 14 nails excluded due trauma. Statistical analysis done ANOVA test. Results considered significant at p value < 0.05. Results: On comparing among groups, difference statistically all three except left st finger (Table 1). NBT’s group did show between two groups. Whereas, when compared group, statistical significance found (p<0.001) fingers both hands, 1st 2nd right hand respectively. individual groups (p =0.002), 4th (p=0.009) 5th (p=<0.001) noted. In hand, same had (p<0.001). Conclusion: are predisposed an increase NBT, which can be detected ultrasound. Thus, increased may have role detection patients. Further studies large patient data should look utilized scleroderma, widely available inexpensive tool. References: [1]Boin F, Wigley FM. Clinical Features Treatment Scleroderma. Scleroderma-related interstitial lung disease

Scleroderma-related interstitial lung disease (SSc-ILD) is a pulmonary fibrosing disorder characterized by systemic inflammation and progressive scarring of the lungs that leads to respiratory failure. Although certain immunosuppressive therapies may slow disease progression, current treatment strategies are not curative; consequently, SSc-ILD continues to be a major cause of morbidity and mort...

The Assessment of Health-Related Quality of Life in Scleroderma-Interstitial Lung Disease

Introduction: Pulmonary involvement is the most common cause of mortality and disability in patients with systemic sclerosis and it significantly affects the quality of life in these patients. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary involvement seems necessary in patients with SSc. In this study, we aimed to assess the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in patients with Sclero...
